World Longest Sea Beach Cox’s Bazar
Sea means a large body of salt water and it is surrounded in whole or in a part by land.Sea is the most attractive place for traveling, although the sea traveled and explored since prehistory. One place has one attraction.
Cox’s Bazar is a small district in the Chittagong division of Bangladesh. Also known as Panowa and its old name is Palongkee. Its total area is 2491.85 square kilometers or 962.11 square miles. Cox’ Bazar is located 150 kilometers south of Chittagong. The Time zone is BST(UTC+6). Yes, here is the world’s longest sea beach, and the sea is the Bay of Bengal.
The total area is 120 kilometers long including mudflats. Starting place in Cox’s Bazar and the ending place name is Bodormokam.
Here is the enorming of the green sky and the blue water side.You can feel here, the vastness of the sea and the silence of the mountains.

It was constructed by Bangladesh Army under supervision of Bangladesh Roads and Highways Department. It is looks like a heaven because you can see here,see beaches on one side of the Marine Drive and green hills on the other side.
Major number of people are involved in the fishing and collection of sea foods and sea products. They collect oysters, snails, pearls from the sea and thses used to make jewellery. This jewellery is so much popular.
Here you can find a kind is big boat ,called it Sampan.
It is a one type of boat that have a small shelter on board and it may be used as a permanent habitation on island waters. And another types of Dingi. Front head of Sampan is high and covers but backside straits.It has various length and width.Depicted in folklore and various literature. Fishermen used both types of boat for catching fish.
Here has a surfing club. Every year held a competition and Bangladeshi and foreigners both types of tourists attend this competition.
Although, Cox’s Bazar mostly famous for its longest Sea Beach and attractive sunset but here has some interesting place including Aggmeda Khyang temple, Himchori, St.Martin’s Island, Inani Beach, Laboni point and Kalatoli Beach, Moheskhali, Sonadia Island, Shaplapur Sea Beach, Dulhazra Safari Part etc.
Aggmeda Khyang is a large Buddhist monastery and this place revered by 4 lakhs Buddhist people.
On the way from Cox’s Bazar to Himchori, the green hills on the left side and the blue waters of the sea on the right side.
Himchori is a famous picnic spot for its waterfalls and hills top from where a splendid view of the sea.Here’s the main attraction is the waterfalls.It looks an amazing. It is much more alive in Rainy Season. Here the magnificence of the sea is seen from the top of the mountain.
St.Martin’s Island is another attractive place in Bangladesh. It is the only coral island of Bangladesh. It’s total area is 8 square kilometers.
Inani beach is 35 kilometers from Cox’s Bazar and 12 kilometers south of Himchori. It is interesting to tourists for it’s clean water and coral rock. Inani is excellent for a marine bath for it’s clean water.
Laboni point and Kalatoli Beach:
It is located near the Cox’s Bazar beach. It takes 15 minutes to walk from the Laboni point to Kalatoli beach. Here you can find the oysters market where there are many jewellery items made from oysters. This jewellery items used for ornaments and home decoration. It looks so much beautiful. From here you can see amazing sunset.
Moheskhali is another attractive place in Cox’s Bazar. It is one of the leading dry fish processing areas of Bangladesh. There are many wetlands and parabana in here.Also have a lot of guest birds .
Adinath temple is in here.
Sonadia island likes at a draw pictures on the canvas.
Its length is 7 kilometers and wide is 2.5 km. Here are various species of birds and only one live fossil red crabs.

Dulhazara Safari Park:
Dulhazra Safari park located at Chakaria upzila in Cox’s Bazar. Total areas is 2224 acres. This safari park is home to at least 4000 animals of 165 species including spotted deer,barking deer,sambar deer,freshwater crocodile, saltwater crocodile, black bears,pythons, pea cocks,Turkish pheasants ,emus,Bengal tigers,and many types of monkeys and birds.
How to go?
If you want go Cox’s Bazar from Dhaka, capital of Bangladesh, you will have to go on bus or plane. It takes about 11/12 hours to travel to Cox’s Bazar by bus and about an hour by plane . In case of travelling by bus AC and Non AC are available. In that case the rent will be paid 10USD to 35 USD. There are many 5 star, 4 star ,3 star hotels, motels and resorts to stay here. Also have many eco-resorts.
Generally here is September to April is peak time and May to August off peak time. The hotels offers 20 to 50% discount on off peaktime.
Basically all hotels have own restaurants but you can eat outside at noon and night. Food menu also delicious. You can find both types of food ,Bengali and foreign.
All is well but be careful because of not knowing swimming, many tourists lose their lives in the water of the sea every year. There is a secret canal from Laboni point to Kalatoli beach and most of the tourists are killed in this secret canal after falling. However, red and green flag was hoisted on behalf of administration by the low tide and flow tide.
Millions of foreign and Bangladeshi natives visit this coastal area every year. Cox’s Bazar has yet to become a major tourist destination in Asia.
